Parking with car, mobile home, caravan and bus

The Store Mosse car parks are supervised by a parking company. This is how you park correctly:

  • Pay attention to the signs' information about vehicle type, parking direction and times.
  • Regular passenger car? Use parkings marked Klass I.
  • Park your car in the right direction according to the signs, and don’t park outside the designated area.
  • Do you have sleeping facilities in the car? Park on mobile home parking even if your car is a campervan or a modified personal car. If a parking lot is full, drive to another parking lot – there are several.
  • Parking is free as long as you park correctly.

Overnight parking

Class 1 passenger cars may park overnight in the parking lots in the national park, provided that the car is parked correctly.

Please note that overnight parking with a mobile home, campervan, a caravan, or any type of class 2-vehicle, is not allowed anywhere in the national park. Staying the night in a vehicle with a rooftop tent is also not allowed.

In Sweden there are two different classes of passenger cars. Here is a short explanation of how to differentiate the two.

  • Class 1 – a car that is built mainly for personal transport.
  • Class 2 – a car that is permanently fitted with a body designed as living quarters and equipped with;
    - fixed sleeping accommodation (which may consist of seats convertible into beds),
    - fixed cooking and storage equipment, and
    - a table.

See complete information about what counts as a passenger car class 1 and 2 on the Swedish Transport Agency's website (Swedish only): Personbil - Transportstyrelsen
