Tiveden National Park

Giant boulders and deep rift valleys

The park offers interesting nature experiences and a strong sense of wilderness amid districts with cultural traditions between Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern. Here, in one of southern Sweden’s wildest forests, you can hike in chaotic expanses strewn with boulders up to 10 metres high that were carried here by the inland ice sheet. There are also many exciting caves here as well as several beautiful wilderness lakes.
